We need at least 20% of our families to complete this state mandated survey. Please complete the survey for each of your Dubois students. We appreciate your help!

Schoolwide Valentine’s Day Parties Guidelines
To Dubois Dragons Families -
Valentine’s Day is approaching and we wanted to share this year’s guidelines for class parties and celebrating with students. Please remind your student that Friday is a regular school day, full of teaching, learning, and instruction with a short celebration at the end of their day. Review and follow the guidelines below to help make Valentine’s Day celebrations safe, inclusive, and enjoyable for all students. These expectations apply to all classrooms and grade levels.
Valentine’s Day celebrations will occur this Friday, February 13th only between 1:30-2:30p.m. There will be no distribution of candy or treats before that time. Students should be learning as usual all day until party time.
Our building includes a life-threatening peanut allergy. Please carefully check ingredient labels before purchasing any food items. In addition, no oranges are permitted anywhere in the building. This is critical for everyone's health and safety. Our approved snack list can always be found on our website.
Students may bring valentines, snacks and/or candy only if they are for the entire class. Individual or small-group valentine exchanges are not permitted, and valentines will not be delivered to students outside of their own classroom.
If you would like to provide any snacks or treats for the class, contact your child’s teacher beforehand so that each class can plan for what might be provided.
All food items must be store-bought and in sealed containers.
No full-size cupcakes, cakes, cookie cakes, or ice cream allowed. These items require cutting, serving utensils, refrigeration, or extensive cleanup, which disrupts learning time and creates safety and allergy concerns.
Mini cupcakes only. Mini cupcakes allow for easier portion control, quicker distribution, and less mess, helping parties stay manageable and inclusive for all students.
No balloons, flowers, or bouquet deliveries to the school are allowed.
Parents and families may drop off items with the office up until 1:30 PM, before classroom parties begin. To minimize classroom disruptions, all items should be dropped off at the main office and will be delivered to classrooms later in the day to ensure that students are fully engaged in learning throughout the day. Again, please contact your child’s teacher if you are planning to bring something.
Classroom teachers will manage the distribution of all items during party time.
Thank you for helping us create a Valentine’s Day celebration day that is joyful, educational, safe, and welcoming for every student. We truly appreciate your cooperation and support!
