District 186 families!
Any pre -k , kindergarten, 6th grade, 9th grade, 12th grade and new students to District 186 - please turn in your child's proof of physical and immunization information as soon as possible.
If your child’s physical and immunizations have not yet been turned in or scheduled, your child will be excluded from school on September 6, 2022.
Because of the demand for appointments and immunization in our community, the Board of Education is allowing school nurses to accept documentation of your child’s scheduled physical and immunizations so that they may remain in school. This documentation of an appointment must be brought to the school on Sept. 6 in order for a student to remain.
Appointments must be scheduled between now and October 14, 2022. After October 15 all students who do not have proper documentation of completed immunizations and physicals will be excluded from school.
If you have any questions, please contact your child’s school.

Please turn in your physical and immunization forms ASAP! It is very important to make sure your student's records are up to date with your school. Students without their information turned in will be excluded from school starting September 6th.

Dismissal and Arrival Procedures at Dubois Elementary School
Hello Awesome Dragon Families
Thanks for a great first day. Please see below to help clarify arrival and drop off procedures for car riders.
Morning Arrival:
At morning arrival student should be dropped off along the side walk along the drive though. Traffic is one way from Lincoln Ave to Illinois Ave. Students will then enter the building from the Illinois Street Main Entrance. (see image below)
Dismissal:
Students will line up behind the chair with their grade level on it. Students should be on the side closest to the smokehouse. There is a sign for each grade.
There will also be chairs with "A" "B" "C" and "D" on them. These chairs will be in front of the parent pick-up line. These are the "waiting" spots for students. Mr. Ford will communicate with dismissal assistants which student(s) cars are in the line, and then dismissal assistants will get them lined up behind the correct chair. This will allow us to have the correct students ready to get into their cars quickly and safely. (see image below)

A beautiful bench was dedicated and two trees were planted in Lincoln Park in honor of Chuck Flamini. Lanphier High School teacher, Scott Metzke, collected donations from current and former LHS staff to purchase the bench and trees. Yesterday ,friends and family gathered for the dedication at Lincoln Park. Chuck left his mark on our community as a friend, teacher, union activist, school administrator and school board member. You can visit the Flamini bench in Lincoln park right beside the playground area. "I picked this spot because it faces towards Lanphier High School" said Scott Metzke.
